A DIY heartbeat detector
In our study of the human body we moved to the circulatory system. The budding scientist needed to go on a quest of building an instrument that would detect the beat of the human heart. They came up with 2 interesting designs. We have also introduced the stethoscope. The kids had a chance to look at the first stethoscopes ever made and compare them to the ones they know from the doctor’s office. Next week we will be examining the anatomy of a human heart. They are well prepared to do it!
